Well the votes are in! It has been decided that...

This year's best author blog for 2013 goes to myself. I was nominated and put forward on the following blog: http://writersandauthors.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/w-award-for-best-author-blog-2013.html?showComment=1387191444824#c6158296929203158665. It was a close race and I would just like to say congratulations to all of the other candidates who were also nominated! If you would like to see the actual link itself please feel free to visit this link: http://writersandauthors.blogspot.co.uk/2013/12/and-winner-is.html.
Here is what the banner looks like though that I can gladly now post on my blogs and all other sites that I am affiliated with:

I would like to take the time to thank all of you who voted for me, and to say it is an honor to be this year's first Writer's and Author's first winner for favorite blog. Remember people starting in January there will be voting taking place for next year's shorty awards. You can find all of the information at this link that you need: http://shortyawards.com/. I think you will need a Twitter account to vote though and as you all know that is completely free to sign up. You don't have to be a fan of Twitter to vote. So make sure you get your vote in while you can! YOU can find my link for the shorty awards here: http://shortyawards.com/AECrowe1. You can also find me on Facebook on my author page here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/AE-Crowe/466060073418231. Feel free to follow me as well on Twitter @A.E.Crowe1. My schedule once it's full will be posted here for you to find out all of the details.
Now how many of you had a good Christmas? I know I did. It was a wonderful day and even though it was cold there wasn't any snow. (Not that I mind in the slightest being from Georgia you don't really see much snow) The day was spent with very close friends and family. I still wish though I could have spent the time with my own family...maybe one day. Now what's everyone's plans for New Year? I personally haven't even figured out yet what I would like my resolution to be..however I do know that I want and need to get my next novel out titled Bullies...I am hoping for a March release date for that. People who have read The Orphanage and On the wings of Love are already asking me if I will make it into a trilogy...I wouldn't rule it out, but it's not on the cards at this moment in time. Anyway I will close there for now folks please remember stay safe and warm this holiday season!

Morning Campers!

Hello fellow authors, readers, followers, friends and family. Welcome back to my world. Why am I posting today? Didn't I just post yesterday? Yes in fact I did post yesterday. I try to help other authors out any chance I get. If you have been following my blog you know I have featured some really great authors. However I really haven't been informing you as an author what I myself get up to these days...Lol well here goes. I recently republished both my novels at the beginning of December this year. You can find them respectfully on Amazon. I will post the links at the bottom of this entry for those interested in taking a look. I would just like to let you all know I do have also have a Facebook author page, a twitter account, and other ways for people to follow me. Not that I am complaining over who is following me on this blog. In fact I am really thrilled. Now what else has been going on with me you ask? Well for starters as I said before I republished my two novels on Amazon and Create Space. And to my astonishment The Orphanage has been received back with open arms already. ( It didn't hurt that I did run a free promo period on Amazon either, lol) I have received nothing but positive feedback for this novel as well. I am sure some have only been trying to boost my spirits and to flatter me while other's have really caught even myself off guard. It's hard to believe that I come from a small town in rural North West Georgia and have in fact accomplished so much already. But the one thing I always wanted to do since I attended Garden Lakes Elementary school was in fact be an author like some of the greats; Margaret Mitchell, Charles Dickens, Edgar Allan Poe, J.R.R Tolkien, Judy Blume, Danielle Steel, Stephen King just to name a few. I feel like at this moment in time I am finally getting to do just that.
You see the reason I say that is because in the last year as an author I have been featured n a few blogs, I have had my first internet radio show interview, and also have had my very first web magazine interview. Now as I close out this year I think of what might lay ahead for me as an author. Hopefully I will grow more is first on the list at the moment. However in recent days I have found out that I was put forward for my first shorty award for 2014! The race and voting for that starts in January 2014. The shorties as they are sometimes referred to are a collection of awards handed out in a huge ceremony and they range from a large range of categories anything from author-television can be voted for with the shorties. You can find the website here : HTTP://www.shorty awards.com. Not only do I have that to look forward to but I am taking part in my very first ever Virtual Book Tour as well which kicks off in March. (More about that later) Basically I am touring the web though in hopes of keeping my name out there and to keep my books out there as well. See a lot of people don't realize it but a VBT can in this day and age be very beneficial to a career of an aspiring author. Let's face facts this is the age of technology and unfortunately book sales are dwindling because a lot of people can't be bothered to read a good book. They want everything at the touch of a button. During my VBT I will be taking part in loads of activities including live Facebook wall chats, Twitter chats, eBook signings on Authorgraph just to name a few. So yeah in short there is plenty going on with me for 2014 already! Hopefully it will be a good year to myself and other authors out there who are trying to accomplish their dreams. I will still when I can try to do book reviews for authors and some more spotlights. Along with all of this I will also be working on possibly 5 more novel ideas maybe even a 3rd novel in the Abigail Crane series. I want to finish a screen play idea as well that I have put on the back burner. When I first started this endeavor not knowing what full potential I could achieve with it. I have been a writer all of my life. But sadly I lost that sense of wanting to do it a while ago, a friend of mine who we will just call Sam told me never give up and go for it. You could very well be the next "Big" thing. So with that in mind I will always look to the future because like Scarlett says in Gone with the wind "Tomorrow is another day."
I want to take this time to thank all of my followers and loyal fans without you it wouldn't be possible to be where I am now. Thank you all! I will keep everyone updated on what goes on with me as soon as I can! Thank you and Good night!

Book Review that is better late than never:

Welcome one and all back to the blog from the one and only hopeless author..myself! Today I am writing about a couple of books that I recently read written by a very good friend of mine named Jim Henry. Those two books are a part of a series known to most as the Universal Life Force series. The books that I have had the privilege of reading are:Antiquity Calais standing at Armageddon, and Antiquity Calais ascending Olympus.
What can I possibly say about these books? First and foremost Jim gets you hooked from the word go! There is more twists in these two books and turns and just when you think you have got it figured out trust me you aren't anywhere near where Jim takes you. His books are both insightful and intriguing. I truly enjoyed them.

Here's a summary of what the books are about: Antiquity Calais standing at ArmageddonAntiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon is the first book of the Fantasy/Science Fiction Universal Life Force Series. Antiquity Calais is the Creator's Liberator. Leviathan Avalon is Satan's most prolific Destroyer. Avalon has learned how to control the Universal Life Force and use it as his most potent form of destruction. He conjures the most powerful tsunami in history, wiping out life along the Atlantic Ocean in the United States. Every coastal city from Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida is underwater. He believes he has committed the perfect crime with his killer tidal wave, but there is a catch. Antiquity Calais is a psychic writer, and he has a vision of the attack as it unfolds, and before long Antiquity is hot on Avalon's tail, traveling through multiple universes, up to Seventh Heaven to the lowest depths of Hell, until he and his friendsGillian Usha, Sherman Yazu and the Mighty Mundoo Asquith are all Standing at Armageddon.

In their journeys, Antiquity and friends discover the afterlife is not at all what they expected. Antiquity discovers a hidden race of light-form beings devoted to the Sun god Apollo. They cross paths with Satan. They discover there are many more universes in creation than any had ever expected. And....Antiquity and Gillian fall in love.
Jim Henry began writing this book while he and his son Tyler were anxiously awaiting the release of J.K. Rowling's final Harry Potter book. Every night at bedtime, Jim would read a chapter or two of whichever book they were reading, and the best seller Harry Potter books were Tyler's favorite. Although Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon stands on his own two feet, with a unique story line that involves classic science fiction and fantasy elements, with connections to the Biblical Book of Revelations as well. The Universal Life Force Series, brought to you by Full Moon Over Bunganut Publishing, is a classic tale of Good vs. Evilin the end of days that parents can feel safe to read to their children at bed time. (As borrowed from Amazon and based on the summmary written by the author himself)

The next book which is Antiquity ascending Olympus is about:Antiquity Calais, Gillian Usha, Sherman Yazu and the Mighty Mundoo Asquith have battled Leviathan Avalon, Satan's Destroyer, in the climactic first battle of the end times in book one of this science fiction/fantasy series, Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon.Satan does not take losing well, and the prince of darkness has special plans for hisdestroyer. The result creates a rift that will make matters rather complicated, as Antiquity must decide who the main target should be. No longer is this a simple battle of good vs. evil; it is a three-way battle for supremacy in Heaven, Hell, and all points in between in the last days!

Meanwhile, Antiquity meets the Council of the gods, straight out of Greek and Roman mythology, and learns there are some powerful allies who would like to join his cause as theCreator's Liberator. Gods and goddesses such as Zeus, Apollo, Hera, Aphrodite, among others are prepared to fight with Antiquity, but are their motivations pure?

In this volume, we learn that the Creator has a special vision for His Liberator and the love of his afterlife, Gillian. Readers will also enjoy knowing what happens when Osama bin Ladendied on Earth!
In Ascending Olympus, you can discover just how easily a universe can be destroyed, and how Antiquity and Zeus try to save the universe by using inter-dimensional travel with Apollo's chariot.

In the second installment of this fantasy series, Jim Henry develops the villain Avalon into an even more powerful and chaotic being, much as J.K. Rowling did with Lord Voldemort in the best seller Harry Potter books.

The climactic battle spreads from the plains leading to Hades to the entrance chamber of Hell, and even to Mundoo Asquith's home planet of Algonquin, all as Gillian is about to transform life as we know it.

There are adult themes in this volume, but Jim Henry handles them with the care a father of four should, so it is still appropriate for a young adult scifi/fantasy loving audience.

There is still much to learn as the Universal Life Force Series twists and turns toward the battle at the end of days. See what happens when Antiquity, Gillian, Sherman and Mundoo are Ascending Olympus!

Here is more about the Author himself: Jim Henry.

Jim Henry has been writing fiction ever since he learned to read in second grade. He completed his first "book" - a 65-page hand-written story titled "Time Warp" when he was in seventh grade.
He continued to write story after story all through his teenage years, before going to college to study broadcasting and journalism.
Through his 20's and into his 30's, Jim was busy writing things other people wanted him to write. He worked for eight years as a daily newspaper reporter for newspapers in Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut. In between jobs, he attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, where he received an M.A. degree in journalism history.
When Jim was 34, he was seriously injured, and it was during his recovery that he learned of the ancient form of eastern medicine known as Reiki. While he was receiving an energy healing treatment, Jim had a vision of a man dressed entirely in black, with his arms outstretched, standing before the Atlantic Ocean. In Jim's vision, the man conjured the largest tsunami in recorded history, inundating the entire east coast. Every city from Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida was devastated.
Jim opened his eyes with a look of fear and shock on his face, prompting the energy therapist to ask what was wrong. He told her of the vision, and she responded, "You have got to write about this."
That scene, featuring a villain whom Jim named Leviathan Avalon, became the opening scene of the first book in the Universal Life Force Series, titled, "Antiquity Calais: Standing at Armageddon."
Jim has subsequently published the second book in the series, titled "Antiquity Calais Ascending Olympus," and he is presently writing two more installments, titled "Antiquity Calais and the Children of Light," and "Antiquity Calais and the Wrath of the Cryptids."
Jim is a single father of four, and he has two stepsons whom he loves like his own children. Each child will have a book dedicated to him or her, so there will be at least six books in the series.
Jim lives in Florida and teaches online, allowing him the flexibility needed to be a hands-on dad for his children.

(As borrowed from his Author Central page)

So in closing I extremely recommend this book and look forward to reading the next one in the series!

It's been a while..

Hello friends! Happy holidays! I haven't wrote anything for a few weeks and thought it best that I check in now. So what's new with me? Hmm, well I finally finished editing The Orphanage and put it back on the shelves for a start. I also finally this year managed to complete the majority of my Christmas shopping before the big day...lol my mother would be so proud. ( I always hated doing Christmas shopping and never managed to get it completed until about Christmas Eve.) I haven't at this moment wrote any more on my current novel that I have been working on for nearly a year...I hope that over the next couple of weeks I can start making more time for me. I have had some medical issues over the last three weeks..in fact it feels like I have been in the wars as such. It seems I definitely inherited the "Clumsy" gene. Haha! I seem to always bang into something no matter how hard I try not to. I now have collected a bruise on my left arm, I stubbed a toe, and a nice "Goose egg" on my forehead on the left side. I also have some minor bruises on my right hand where I got it stuck in a door a couple of weeks ago. What can I say? If it can be done lol you can guarantee I will do it. Most of the injuries I have sustained were from taking part in a charity event for a 15 month old little boy who has a rare form of Retinal-blastoma. Basically he had to lose his left eye to this cancer and has two minor tumors behind his right eye...we hope that his Chemo does in fact help him but however this could be an ongoing condition through out his life.
I think the last time I made a post in this blog was when I was doing Author spotlights and book reviews...well on that note I still plan on doing them. I just have to manage to be able to squeeze some time in for them. This is in fact easier said that done at this moment in time. However I am still reviewing books and in fact I am reading one at the moment from an author who is called Jim Henry. It's his Antiquity Calias series. ( I will do a review just as soon as I am finished with it and I will write the correct title in as well) I am enjoying it though. I always enjoy helping other author's out as well.

That's all for now folks unless I figure out if I have left anything out!

This week's author spotlight:

I am sorry it's late folks but this spotlight goes to a very special author:

K.D. Rose

Here's what I found out about K.D. She's an author and a poet whom has two books out at the moment on Amazon. They are called: Heavy Bag of Soul and Inside Sorrow ( which is a silver award winner in the competition International Reader Awards for 2013) K.D.’s current book, Erasing: Shadows, the first in a series, has just been picked up by Lycaon Press, the Young Adult/New Adult Arm of Breathless Press Publishing. Look for Erasing: Shadows before the end of 2013! K.D. has an eclectic mind and loves language, physics, philosophy, photography, design, art, writing, symbolism, semiotics, codes, spirituality, and Dr. Who. KD Rose is an avid supporter of music, the arts, cutting edge science, technology, and creativity in all forms that encourage us to expand and explore past the artificial limits we often set for ourselves, and see the everyday connections that exist among all things.
K.D. Rose values the question more than the answer and loves creativity and innovation. K.D. is also a sucker for cutting edge thought and has been known to bring some into reality herself.
Why did you get into writing?
I’ve been an avid reader since I was able to read. Everything I could get my hands on or that my parents would let me read. We used to have the magazines in school where you could order books- I was the nerd going home from class with six or seven books loaded up in my arms. I wanted to read every book in the magazine. My parents had to set limits. Writing them was a natural progression from there.
What inspired you?
Books that moved me. Books that took my imagination places I hadn’t even thought of. Books that made me want to get up, right there and do whatever the book was about. There are so many good books out there.

Some of my favorite authors were (and are) Harlan Ellison and Philip K Dick. Also Robert Anton Wilson. And then the poetry. Oh, my god the poetry. Rimbaud, e.e.cummings, Baudelaire, Yeats, Borges. Some things are so good they make you want to transcend life on the spot.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Well, I don’t watch much TV. That is pretty much limited the Daily Show and Doctor Who ( which by the way is one of the only shows I’ve ever seen that has been able to move me in the same way a magnificent book can)
Is there anything you’re currently working on?
Yeah, a seven book series. Erasing: Shadows, which comes out this year, is the first book. Seven is daunting, I have to say. We plan to put out at least two books a year. And that doesn’t include my indie books which I will keep putting out. The next one is called I AM (Poetry in Motion). Poetry is the language of the Gods. It’s a shame more people don’t read it.
One thing you should know about me is that I am a quantum Idealist. I don’t believe in binary choices. In my world, Schrödingers cat is dead, alive, and is also is also living out multiple lives in different realities. In my world my favorite person to meet would be Neil deGrasse Tyson.

We conclude this week's double feature with:

We conclude this week's double feature of author spotlights with:

Pamela Dorsey-Funke

Pamela is the proud grand daughter of a pastor and spent most of her life in church. She is a Christian author who currently lives in Georgia with her son and her daughter. She currently has "The Apocolypse" series of novels published. She chose to write Christian novels because there isn't hardly any out there and she wanted to inspire others with her words. She believes that most of the novels out there aren't feeding the minds of the general public with positive ideas or virtues. We actually have a direct quote from the author herself in regards to her beliefs and it is as follows:

"There has to be something in a good book that not only feeds the mind with positive values and teaches the reader how to improve their life and give them some hope, then what's the point?"-Pamela Dorsey-Funke.

Here's a bit more about our feature author. Pamela was born in Frankfurt Germany. As we mentioned earlier she resides in Georgia with her two children. Her favorite authors are: Jerry Jenkins, Tim LaHaye, Joel C Rosenberg, James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark, David Baldacci, Nicholas Sparks, Randy Alcorn and Michael Connelly. Some of her favorite musicians and bands are: Translunaric, Give it all Records, Marvin Sapp, Crystal Hopkins, Mighty men of faith, and Boyz to men.

Here is a blurb from her latest novel:

Our current world is full of chaos, turmoil, hatred, wars and strive. Every day the state of the world gets worse and it is spiraling out of control. In Rome, Italy there is a man who is quickly gaining political power and reverence, Nicolaitanes Balac. But is this the type of power that should be given to a single man? Just who is Nicolaitanes Balac really?

General Alexander and The Group have been given the task of bringing about peace and serenity for not only the United States, but the entire world. Operation Dark Angel is a military operation designed to bring about world peace......or is it? Will it really bring an end to the turmoil, violence and hatred as they were told by the voice? Who is the voice? What is its true nature?

Sorry for the delay:

This week's spotlight part one goes to:

Jo Linsdell-Feliciani

Jo Linsdell is originally from the UK but went to Rome, Italy in June 2001 for 3 days and ended up staying (something she says is much easier to do than most people would think). Since then she has become bilingual, married an Italian and become mum to two little boys (one 5 years old and one 2 years old) who make sure she never has time to get bored.

Although she's always enjoyed writing she only started her writing career in 2006. After seeing an advertisement that an English language newspaper in Florence was open to submissions, she sent off an article. It was published in the very next issue and was the first of several articles she wrote for the newspaper. This was the turning point for Jo as it was when she realised she could actually be a published writer. Since then she's published several books (most of which have become best sellers), written for various publications and websites around the world, and won awards and recognition (including the Literary Worlds Who's Who in the Writing Industry).

Jo is a multi genre author and loves to experiment with her writing. Her favourite genres are children's picture books and non-fiction though. She is also an illustrator. She illustrated her own books and also works in collaboration this other children's authors.

She is the founder and organiser of the free annual online event called Promo Day. A whole day dedicated to promoting, networking, and learning. Full of free presentations on topics related to book promotion and marketing by experts in the industry, and loads of opportunities to promote and network.

Jo is also an avid blogger and runs both personal blog http://jolinsdell.blogspot.com and the award winning blog http://WritersAndAuthors.blogspot.com.

When not writing, blogging, or working on other projects, Jo likes to spend time with her family. She loves playing Dance 4 on her Wii, baking cakes, watching her favourite TV shows (which currently include Castle, Suits, and Person of Interest), and reading. Her taste in books is varied. Some of her favourite authors are Dean Koontz, Sophie Kinsella, and Frank McCourt. Jo is a self confessed chocoholic, shopaholic, social media junky, and a bit of a control freak.

Her latest book Virtual Book Tours: Effective Online Book Promotion From the Comfort of Your Own Home set a new personal best for Jo when it became a best seller on day 1 of it's launch.

You can find out more about Jo at her website www.JoLinsdell.com or by visiting her social media profiles:

And this concludes part one of the double feature spotlight. Thanks for reading!

This week's Book Review is:

This week's book review is:

The Alien Mind
Written by Virginia Lori Jennings

In the past couple of weeks I have been reading this novel. It is a science fiction piece that is dedicated to revealing that there could be other life forms out there that we don't know about. While reading this novel (which is based for the age range of 4th-8th graders) I noticed that there were numerous underlying themes. The themes I noticed were mearly my own observations and therefore could be different from other people who review this book. But they are themes as such references to dictatorships...I was drawn back to an era where there was a really nasty dictator called Adolf Hitler and that was World War 2. While also reading this I felt as though the author had a strong southern background in reference's to the one Creator which people of the Christian faith believe that is God. The novel itself was witty, funny, and entertaining to the max. Virginia Lori Jennings portrays her characters to the maximum and fullest potential that they can reach. The descriptions she uses paints very vivid imagery into the mind of the reader. You basically won't be able to put this book down until you finish it. But when you do you will fill like you are fufilled. There will be nothing left to figure out and it all will be revealed. Kudos Virginia for a very inspiring piece! I say this because I have never really been a sci-fi fan but after reading this I might just have to look further into it. You as my followers need to as well! I wish this review could be longer but if it is it will spoil it for the rest of you so please without further adieu please  go get your copy today! This novel is a must! Especially for those parents whom want to expand their child's reading material!

I give this novel 5* across the board! Well done!

Thanks again!

This week's author spotlight goes to:

        Meet this weeks author spotlight:

Jessica Lane Shakespeare

Hello friends and followers. In today's spotlight we are featuring Jessica Lane Shakespeare. Here's some information on her that you might find intriguing. I know I did!

The basics are:

Name: Jessica Lane.
D.O.B: April 14th, 1986
She is orginally from Salt Lake City, Utah.
Her very proud parent's are: Thor and Cindy Johnson and Walter and Jenny Ramirez. Her father is from Peru. She is one of seven children and her siblings are as follows: Jaden, Michell, Chelsey, Alex, Nathan, Jacob, and an unknown sibling on the way.
Jessica during her educational career attended Dixie State College and is currently attending Beautiful You. She hopes to recieve her nail artist licence, and is also atttending RPM makeup academy where she is working on her makeup artist certificate.
She has two pugs and three cats. (Two of which are rescued) Their names are: (pugs) Bubbles and Buddy. The cats are: Niggles, Kiddy, and Kitten.
Her hobbies include the following: Reading, writing, camping, Bbqing, watching movies, listening to music, traveling, nail art, and makeup.
Interesting facts that not many people know about Jessica is: She's had four open heart surgeries since the day she was born. She was a vegetarian for two years, she's learning Japenese, and Korean at the moment. She also squishes bananas and mints down because she says they taste better that way.
Her guilty pleasures are: watching Kdramas (Korean tv shows), listening to Kpop ( her favorite band is Beast)

When she was asked who inspired her the most she found this to be tricky but did go on to inform me that her favorite authors are: Ann Rice, Stephen King, R.L Stine, Nora Roberts, J.R.R Tolkien, and J.K. Rowling. Her favorite part of being an author is the ability to bring her characters to life. She loves her characters as if they were actually real people. She even tends to actually use names of people that she is related to and even the maiden name of her mother which is Callahan. The current series she is working on she does believe that people might think she has just thrown the characters together randomly but this isn't the case. She has published a series of books called the three brother prophecy which shows how her characters are connected one way or another...she currently has three of the books written up. When it comes to writing Jessica perfers the old fashion way and that is the notebook and pen. She says that even though it would be easier to do it by just typing it up but she has this weird idea or OCD idea if you will that if she puts down her notebook and pen and walks away from her work that when she comes back to it and puts a different pen to the paper that it gives her a refreshed sense of ideas to work with. It helps her to do it this way and she says it's never a boring minute during the writing process. When she is writing she tends to listen to various bands including Korn, Disturbed, Rob Zombie etc. But because she has been working and attending night school she feels that her writing is not getting the attention that it needs. Hopefully she will be able to change this once her schooling is finished which should be around November this year. She also admits that she uses writing theraputically which means that she can use it to let go of stress and to block out all that is bad in her world.

Her least favorite thing of all time is editing...she hates it because it's such an ongoing process for her. The reason it's always an ongoing process is she is extremely close to her books and knows them like the back of her hand. Just like any other author Jessica tends to read her work and over look the grammar and the flaws. This is why she chose to use a professional editor. At the moment her book is currently free to download to the public. Jessica admits that when she was in elementary school and even middle school reading and writing were among her least favorite things to do. This was because she was slow to learn to do both. It wasnt until after sixth grade and a run in with some girls who made fun of her that she delved further into it. That was when her and her bestfriend Geni started writing their first horror stories. Even though her writing style has changed a great deal she still believes that she would love to try to write her first horror novel later down the line.

You can find Jessica on Google, Where Writers and Authors Meet, on Facebook and other outlets if you wish to find out more about her.

Thanks for reading folks and have a great day!

The first book review this week is:

Shut up and Kiss me
By Christie Craig

This week's first book to be on the Author review chart is by Christie Craig. The title is shut and kiss me. I found this to be a very intriguing title. To be honest it wasn't only interesting but completely breath taking. It was filled with hope, adventure, deceit, treachery, lies, love and even some humor thrown in for good measure. I couldn't put it down. It had me completely enthralled from the word go. I would highly recommend this to people at least in their late teens and higher though because it is very vivid in sexual content as well....in fact it rather reminded me of another raunchy set of novels that had tongues wagging not so long ago...E.L. James' 50 shades of grey series. The only difference is that it is set in the lovely state of Texas in a town called Precious. Funny thing to the setting for the main plot of the book is that it's based in Precious...everything about the town is far from precious. This novel will keep you intrigued and wrapped up in it's twists and turns and it will make you wonder who done it in fact. I thought I had it figured out half way through and at the last minute there was a complete twist. So yes folks I would recommend this as a choice to those who love to read.

Please keep an eye out for the next review where I will be doing an author who is a very good friend of mine. Her name is Virginia Lori Jennings. She is author of The Alien Mind.

Thanks Folks and good evening!

Meet Bob Dixon

In today's first author spotlight we are featuring:

Meet Bob Dixon

Bob is a southern author from Columbus Georgia. He's happily married with two kids. In his early days he never really read novels apart from "The Lion, The Witch and The wardrobe". (Written by:C.S. Lewis) His number one passion was comic books from an early age...this triggered his desire into his writing career. In the early 90's he worked on a set of comic books titles for a company called Pocket Change comics. They were as follows: Assasinette: The Mind Stalker, Shadow Slasher, Psyco Duck, The Holy Knight, and Warzone 3719. He then went on to write his children's book Mouch and Company based on a comic series he had worked called Jester's dead. Most of the characters were adapted out of the series to fit the book, there was one that was introduced and that was Sherman the sock puppet which he introduced strictly for the comedy relief. Bob has also completed a couple more children's books which are: Rooty the Tree Troll and Holiday Bunny. He is also a two time Guinness World Record holder for having the longest comic strip. However like many authors in this day and age he has a job that pays the bills. Bob is a special education teacher for a school near him and his family. He has been in this field for 23yrs and enjoys it immensely. In his spare time he loves to hike, and has even hiked into the mountains of North Georgia. He loves to camp as well while on his hiking trips.

If you are interested in knowing more about Bob feel free to find him on Goodreads, Where writers and Authors meet via facebook, facebook itself and other various sites through Google.

Hello Followers

I recently read a blog that explained to the public that if they didn't like what was being written they didnt have to follow it. Well here goes. See the same thing applies here. If you as a human being don't like what I say or think that my opinion stinks then by all means keep it to yourself and move right along. For those of you who stick it out though you are greatly appreciated. Now on my first topic of business: Author Spotlights. This is something I have been toying with for a bit in my head. I have a writing group that I am apart of on Facebook as most of you know and it's called Where writers and authors meet. These are authors who are starting out in the industry like myself and need as much publicity as they can get. I plan on helping them. I will try all being well to post a new Author spotlight every week. If not please don't hate me. I will also start doing Book Reviews. This again is to both indulge my writing abilities, help other authors with their careers because we all know that a bit of publicity never hurt anyone. It will also help me with catching up on my reading as well.

The upcoming author's whose books I will be reviewing are following:

Christie Craig
Virginia Lori Jennings
Jim Henry
Clarence Bonner
OG Tomes
Nancy Baker
Paul Pilkington
Laurel Bennet
Shah Warton

I start posting author spotlights soon enough. They will be listed at a later date. I am doing this service for myself but also you my followers. I do hope that you enjoy what you will be finding out of the course of the next few weeks.

Thanks
A.E. Crowe

Lyrics

"People Like Us"
We come into this world unknown
But know that we are not alone
They try and knock us down
But change is coming, it's our time now

Hey… everybody loses it,
Everybody wants to throw it all away sometimes
And hey… yeah I know what you're going through
Don't let it get the best of you, you'll make it out alive
Ohh

People like us we've gotta stick together
Keep your head up, nothing lasts forever
Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten
It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
We are all misfits living in a world on fire
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

Hey, this is not a funeral
It's a revolution, after all your tears have turned to rage
Just wait, everything will be okay
Even when you're feeling like it's going down in flames
Ohh

People like us we've gotta stick together
Keep your head up nothing lasts forever
Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten
It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
We are all misfits living in a world on fire
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
You've just gotta turn it up loud when the flames get higher
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

They can't do nothing to you, they can't do nothing to me
This is the life that we choose, this is the life that we bleed
So throw your fists in the air, come out, come out if you dare
Tonight we're gonna change forever

Everybody loses it, everybody wants to throw it all away sometimes
Ohh

People like us we've gotta stick together
Keep your head up nothing lasts forever
Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten
It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
We are all misfits living in a world on fire
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
You've just got to turn it up loud when the flames get higher
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
We're all misfits living in a world on fire
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

Oh woah oh oh woah oh
You've just got to turn it up loud when the flames get higher
Oh woah oh oh woah oh
Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

catching up with A.E.

Hello...hello again! It's the one and only hopeless author here once more. I know it's been months since my last post and I reckon I have some stuff to be catching up with you (my fans) on. Like for starters I have had my very first internet radio show interview on WordSexy Radio with host RedSnapper. That was back in April and I have to say even though it was an internet radio show interview it was definitely a one of kind experience. We had a ball in fact. I think took some time off from promoting my novels and children's book to persue going back to school. I enrolled in May to take some I.T. courses. I am currently still taking them...more on that in a bit. Then in June I celebrated another birthday. It's always interesting to turn another year older...see I'm not like most people the older I get it doesnt actually bother me...after all age is a number isn't it? Lol. Now that I have caught you all up on the last couple of months we are up to July. Well the number one thing that has happened is that I have gone back to my writing, and even doing some editing. After all that's the story of an author....writing...and editing over and over. There's no such thing as the perfect author.
Not only have I been back on the writing I also have been interviewed yet again with a friend of mine Virginia Jennings and her website/blog Where Writer's and Author's meet. You can find a copy of this interveiw at the following link http://networkedblogs.com/NCmK1. IT was interesting to see what questions the fellow authors chose to ask. I would like to send a shout out to Virginia for taking the time to feature me once more.
I am currently working on a possible three new manuscripts currently. At this moment though I don't want to dish any details. I will closer to publishing though so keep an eye out. I think I not only need to get back on the writing but also possibly even do some book reviews. If I chose to do this though I will keep all of you fans definitely posted. Now I will end this post here. Ciao for now!

Lots of Love

More Lyrics

I am suppose to be writing but yet again I let things distract me. I don't know why....oh wait yes I do it's because the idea's refuse point blank to come out of my head. This has only ever happened to me a few times...I think it just means that the story I want to tell isn't quite ready. In the mean time I have been listening to some music. I find that music is very soothing when you want to relax or try to write. Today's music lyrics are brought to you by www.azlyrics.com. The song is Tim McGraw's Back When.

"Back When"
Don't you remember
The fizz in a pepper
Peanuts in a bottle
At ten, two and four
A fried bologna sandwich
With mayo and tomato
Sittin' round the table
Don't happen much anymore

We got too complicated
It's all way over-rated
I like the old and out-dated
Way of life

Back when a hoe was a hoe
Coke was a coke
And crack's what you were doing
When you were cracking jokes
Back when a screw was a screw
The wind was all that blew
And when you said I'm down with that
Well it meant you had the flu
I miss back when
I miss back when
I miss back when

I love my records
Black, shiny vinyl
Clicks and pops
And white noise
Man they sounded fine
I had my favorite stations
The ones that played them all
Country, soul and rock-and-roll
What happened to those times?

I'm readin' Street Slang For Dummies
Cause they put pop in my country
I want more for my money
The way it was back then

Back when a hoe was a hoe
Coke was a coke
And crack's what you were doing
When you were cracking jokes
Back when a screw was a screw
The wind was all that blew
And when you said I'm down with that
Well it meant you had the flu
I miss back when
I miss back when
I miss back when

Give me a flat top for strumming
I want the whole world to be humming
Just keep it coming
The way it was back then

Back when a hoe was a hoe
Coke was a coke
And crack's what you were doing
When you were cracking jokes
Back when a screw was a screw
The wind was all that blew
And when you said I'm down with that
Well it meant you had the flu
I miss back when
I miss back when
I miss back when

And the other song which is brought to you by the same website is George Strait's Amarillo By morning.

"Amarillo By Morning"

Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone.
Everything that I've got is just what I've got on.
When that sun is high in that Texas sky
I'll be bucking it to county fair.
Amarillo by morning, Amarillo I'll be there.

They took my saddle in Houston, broke my leg in Santa Fe.
Lost my wife and a girlfriend somewhere along the way.
Well I'll be looking for eight when they pull that gate,
And I'm hoping that judge ain't blind.
Amarillo by morning, Amarillo's on my mind.

Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone.
Everything that I've got is just what I've got on.
I ain't got a dime, but what I got is mine.
I ain't rich, but Lord I'm free.
Amarillo by morning, Amarillo's where I'll be.
Amarillo by morning, Amarillo's where I'll be.

Trying....

I have been thinking of what would be interesting to talk about in my blog. What would really get people hooked and interested? Unforunately I didn't come up with anything so you will once again have to put up with me just rambling on about random topics. But where to start?
Maybe we should talk about Mother nature and the obsurd weather that everyone has been having? In England we had snow the other week. It was lovely to look at but God was I ready for it to go. (Never been used to walking on it, but being from Georgia what do you expect? The last time we had proper snow was the storm of 1993) Speaking of Georgia....their weather hasn't been much better. Just recently in the news were reports about tornadoes and even snow. I mean seriously? What is mother nature thinking? What happened to having typical weather for each region? A few people would say this is down to the Ozone or polar ice caps. I just think it's screwed up personally. While they have been having tornadoes and snow, England had rain and sunshine. Still not warm though. But it is February. Haha! Speaking of February.... Today's offical events for most American's is the Super Bowl. The teams this year are San Fransisco 49'ers and Baltimore Ravens. Personally I don't care now which team wins the bowl, I would have rather had the Atlanta Falcons in. It would have been terrific to see them win, but once again as we all know Atlanta dropped the ball in a matter of speaking. Well there's always next year....who knows maybe Atlanta will come back and actually make it all the way to the top. It would be great to see. Even the UGA bulldogs didn't do have bad this season. I would have loved it though if both UGA and Atlanta could have done well. But that's a different topic all together.
So I should tell you that I managed to write another full chapter on one of my new novels, this would make nine full chapters. I also managed to write a bit on a screen play idea that I have had in mind for some time. But can't really go into all that as it may not end up finished yet and I don't want to get anyone's hopes up. I also published another hub page. Not really a very productive day.....I really should work on being more productive. That too is a different topic all together. I am still trying to figure all of this blogging stuff out. So please bare with me as I get it all together. I think I will have to leave you all with a song for now and hopefully I will learn from other blog's what interests people. So the song for today is By Mark Wills. It's called "Don't Laugh at me". I will find the lyrics for you. The lyrics are from a website called http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/markwills/dontlaughatme.html.  I hope you enjoy and that's all folks....

Don't Laugh at Me
By Mark Wills

"Don't Laugh At Me"

I'm a little boy with glasses
The one they call the geek
A little girl who never smiles
'Cause I've got braces on my teeth
And I know how it feels
To cry myself to sleep.

I'm that kid on every playground
Who's always chosen last
A single teenage mother
Tryin' to overcome my past
You don't have to be my friend
Is it too much to ask?

[Chorus:]
Don't laugh at me, don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
Don't laugh at me.

I'm the cripple on the corner
You pass me on the street
I wouldn't be out here beggin'
If I had enough to eat
And don't think that I don't notice
That our eyes never meet.

I lost my wife and little boy
Someone crossed that yellow line
The day we laid 'em in the ground
Is the day I lost my mind
Right now I'm down to holdin'
This little cardboard sign.

[Chorus:]
Don't laugh at me, don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
Don't laugh at me.

I'm fat, I'm thin, I'm short, I'm tall
I'm deaf, I'm blind, hey aren't we all?

[Chorus:]
Don't laugh at me, don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
Don't laugh at me.
